laurel Inabinet : ministry coordinator

Laurel & Jonathan Inabinet

Tell us about your family.  Married Jonathan in 2011. We have a little bean on the way - due date is 12/12/12. =)

What’s your hometown?   Ellenwood, GA (suburb of Atlanta)

Where did you work before JICC?  I’ve worked at McDonalds (yes, at age 14 AND got fired). I also worked at Subway, Kmart, Blockbuster, Hallmark, a waitress for many years, a Music Ministry Assistant at my college, then started work in the nonprofit world. I was a missions coordinator in Chicago, IL then a volunteer coordinator for Habitat for Humanity.

What do you like to do in your free time?   Hang with my hubs. Love going new places, spending time with my family and friends,  going to the beach, listening to good music, playing music, going dancing, being at church, having cookouts, sporting events, concerts….anything with a group of friends!

What is your favorite food?   Sushi! I can drink soy sauce straight from a straw! =)

What do you love most about working at JICC?   Getting people connected with others. I remember what it’s like to walk into a church and not know a soul. Having good, genuine Christian community is so important.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?   I would lobby for a good singing voice. As much of a diva as I can be in the car, I can’t always control what comes out. (sorry to those who sit a row in front of me at church)

What is your favorite sports team and why? Ga Tech by blood. Clemson by marriage. (not a good combination).
