Guest Services Teams
-Serve 9:50am – 12:15pm on Sundays.
All teams have a rotating schedule based on the size of their group.
Auditorium Team
If you have a heart for hospitality, hosting, and want everyone to have a great experience during the worship service, then you need to check out the Auditorium Team. They greet and talk with guests as they come into the sanctuary prior to the worship service, with a focus on finding new guests and connecting them with other families and ministries within the church. This team also helps with the “flow,” helping guests find seats, watching for anyone with special needs. Then at the end of the service, they help people find a prayer team member and escort all guests not receiving prayer to the back of the auditorium.
Communion Team
The Communion Team is for male members of JICC that have a desire to serve during the worship service. They serve as ushers, taking up the offering during the service. At the end of the service, communion team members serve in pairs, offering communion to those in the congregation and sharing the meaning of each item to each person as they take the sacraments.
Connect Team
Do you have a passion to see everyone at church plugged into the body? Do you enjoy talking with others and identifying ways that they can get connected with church? Come serve with the Connect team. This team is stationed throughout the lobby, connecting guests with where to go and anything they are looking for. They take in connect cards, sign people up for events/ trainings/classes, and really experience the one-on-one interaction with those coming to the church.
Greeter Team
Do you have a warm and welcoming demeanor? Do you enjoy lots of face-to-face interaction with others? Then the Greeter team is just for you. This team stands at all church entrances and greets every guest as they come into church. Greeters also welcome guests at all auditorium entrances and pass out bulletins.
HOSPITALITY TEAM
Helping prepare and serve breakfast, greeting and talking with guests during breakfast, and cleaning up and setting up are some of the things this team does. Whether you enjoy behind-the-scenes or front-line serving, this close-knit team would love to have your help. This team arrives at 8:30am but is done in time to join in the sanctuary for the worship service at 10:30am.
Parking Team
The Parking team gets to “set the tone” for all guests coming to church as they are the first face that every guest sees. They direct all cars systematically on where to park, welcomes each guests, and directs them to the building entrances.
